the idea itself is somewhat paradoxical. how can one acknowledge one's self let alone document another consciousness?
the only way I can think of getting anywhere close to doing the task presented above is by 'representation' or representing - so far as I know, the only way in which one can come close to documenting consciousness is by representing- a high resolution brain scan of the brain showing the exact moments of electricity in the brain is still a representation - quantum theory in this sense almost makes it impossible to know whatever further, becsue in the quantum world when something is looked at. it stops. perhaps the quantum world exists outside time or we are stuck to one perception when we look, when we are not looking we are in all states...

back to the problem at hand, documenting consciousness. how can one document what is not solid or something you cannot see... words represent thought, actions represent thought. thought can only be interpreted into words, it has no form.communication is probably the closest we get to affirming somebody else's consciousness. is suggestive communication better than clear communication?

some of the aims of this video were experimentation and acknowledging th uniqueness of each and every life, I think I ended up achieving both these goals and while doing so also managed to mix my practice with my professional practice by making the video a music video for a future unreleased song.

Experimentation: to achieve zoom at the level of which I achieved in his video I have to experiment a lot which extension tubes and flipping the lens to get even more zoom, I also tried different lenses and documented the result and finally decided on the most optimal setup. this video was also a good insight into lighting reflective surfaces (the eye).

every human is truly unique, you only have to look at there eyes and what they look like, what was amazing to me was that the eyes weren't just subtly different they were very different depending on the colour, which wa even more interesting.

for the next project either photo or vidoe, i plan to carry on looking for the conciousness, for now, i do not knwo how i will aproach it but i shall document the process as it unravvels.
